Project Z Parkour, Manchester’s most active parkour coaching team are scaling new heights, by taking on a lease on their new home in Swinton, Manchester.

The business was created by Tom Redfern in 2016 and bought together a group of free running and parkour coaches and organised training at a variety of shared indoor and outdoor establishments in and around Manchester.

However, the business soon reached capacity and despite a growing waiting list, found it difficult to expand due to the nomad nature of the business and having to share the use of space with other organisations.

Tom tried to find a suitable space, but like so many businesses within the leisure sector, kept getting knocked back by Landlords and Property Agents.   

Tom commented, “It was all very frustrating; we just could not get past the property agents to even see the venues.  We tried every approach we could think of, and every single call and email was met with the same response: “The landlord is not interested in letting to a leisure use”.   It was so demoralising, and it felt like we were wasting our time.
