Building Business Relationships

Our theme for this month is relationships.

Especially as Valentines Day is just around the corner! (quickly putting a reminder in the diary to buy the flowers and book a table at our favourite restaurant).

In the world of commercial property, we see good relationships as a fundamental part to success.

Whilst some will see commercial property as a purely business decision, in many instances, it can be driven by emotion (even if you pretend it’s not). That can be dangerous. We’ve seen this too frequently, when business owners go it alone and get caught up in securing the premises at any cost.

At the Lease Negotiator, as your trusted commercial property expert, we focus on protecting your position. This shows up in many different and powerful ways. We ask questions to understand your business strategy, which means negotiating and tailoring the lease terms to suit your business needs (not the landlords).

Whether this is long term stability, short term flexibility, the maximising of incentives, or a mixture of these.

We also think beyond today’s deal and will always tell the truth (even if it’s not what you want to hear). We understand that one poorly structured lease or a
misunderstood lease clause can have long lasting and costly consequences for your business.

Personal relationships are built on trust, communication, honesty and long-term
commitment. We see this as the same values that should apply to the relationship with your commercial property expert.

So while February celebrates relationships of the heart, it’s worth thinking about, who
you have on your side to protect your business and your financial future, as you
navigate through the commercial property process.

Oh and Happy Valentines Day!
